Ben Mac is a chef, social entrepreneur and food consultant with 14 years of commercial cooking experience, a degree in sustainability from RMIT and a successful sustainable catering and events company, the Social Food Project. Ben combines excellent research, policy and social change knowledge with practical experience working with food.
Ben believes that food can be used as a catalyst to build communities and create sustainable diets for everyone, and wants to empower change through collaborative projects, events and research. Ben is currently in London studying a Masters of Food Policy and manages his business the Social Food Project remotely.
Ben's background in the hospitality industry, volunteer coordination, and public speaking compliments his passion and commitment to food sustainability advocacy.
